THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT BRICK & MORTAR ADVERTISING
Everybody city regulations when it comes to advertising are different. Advertising can mean signage on building, window graphics, signage away from building, anything that displays your business. Its best to get more info from your landlord and/or City Clerks office to understand what is possible.
In cases where you want to cover more than is allowed, you must file an ordinance to let the city know why and what you are doing. In few cases where the city issue is “visibility” -Needing to be able to see inside because of burglary or fire, we do have film options to keep what you want and what they require.
Don’t hesitate to contact us if you need assistance with understanding the process so you don’t get fined from the city.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT VINYL
All vinyl has an life expectancy of 5-10 years when installed correctly. Dirty windows, broken window seals, and/or bad weather can cause adhesiveness to fade away from film starting with the corners.
There is no such thing as 24/7 One way film privacy. One way vision film only works correctly during the day. If you conduct business at night, with the inside light on, the vision of the film will tend to flip where its easier to view inside “at night”. Which means the film turns more translucent at night.
In case you conduct business at night, and indoor light is effecting the privacy film, its best to add curtains or retractable black blinds to use at night. If you have the lights off at night, or the indoor light source is away from windows or behind a wall, the film will not be translucent.
Tint works just the same as vinyl. At night (with indoor light on) the one way vision will flip where its easier to view inside but a tad bit harder to view out from inside. (Depending on the darkness of your tint) 5%- Darkest | 20% Medium Dark | 40% Light Dark. Tint also comes in different color options. *(If you get yellow tint, the inside of your place will have a yellow tint)
Vinyl does not damage the surface it goes on. Vinyl can be easily removed by adding heat to film then carefully peel off. In cases of old rip shreds of vinyl stuck on window or old adhesive, its best to use a combination of heat, soap water, and a a scrapper. Always make sure glass is wet with soap/water before applying blade. If your surface is not glass but plastic, DO NOT add a blade to it! That will cause scratching.
